  An Invitation to you, please join us June 11, 2019, we have invited a Guest Speaker to do a Presentation about Intelli Network Corporation, Kamea Lafontaine is the founder who has received award in San Diego Calf. on this technology, Kamea will speak on the benefits we all can gain from, this system will show the benefits, seeing the results, plus more.

Events 2019




Hello Everyone,                                                                                       May 28, 2019

So, here we go Summer is around the corner and the Events are happening, we had our First Parade in St. Albert and it was a great turn out, we have seen SRCWA members in the crowd and kids, lots of kids, happy, waving, and wanting more candy, to cute!!

Our Next Event will be at the Sturgeon Agri-Plex we will be sponsoring our 4-H members again and come on out to support the 4-H and the presentation of the cattle they show, from 12-6 pm.

June 7   Sturgeon County Open House, from 2-7 pm and its on a Friday, how cool is that, yes we will be there to chat on any concerns or just connect.

June 8  Calahoo Parade at 11 am, Pancake Breakfast at the Fire hall at 930 am, com' on out and join the fun, we will be there with our Float and this is the 2nd year for Calahoo to bring back the Parade, everyone was excited for this, so lets support this community by helping out or showing up to cheer on this great event.

June 11   SRCWA meeting as we will have a Guest speaker join us to do a Presentation about his company called Intelli, Kamea Lafontaine is the Speaker, the meeting starts at 7 pm and we will be at the Cardiff Hall in Cardiff, we will put out a reminder a few days before the meeting to ensure that you are able to make it. So, com' on out and here what this system is about as you may have some questions to share, chat soon

June 21    CircleK Community BBQ is hosting again there 4th Annual Event, this will be in Gibbons from 1030-330 pm and l hope to see all come out and check it out and enjoy a Hot Dog as well. This is a great way to connect with our members, residents and community. Engage with the exhibitors and chat and have a great time as well. 
Plus Morinville Festival Weekend starts as well, we will be there with our Float, so wave when you see us !!!!!

June 22   Morinville Parade starts at 930 am, we will for the first time host with a BBQ at the Combat Challenge, com'out enjoy a Hamburger, pop and chips for 6.00 or a Hot dog Combo for 5.00, we look forward to your support and chat as well, this starts at 12 noon til 6 pm, see you there.

So, this is just a start of our events so far and we look forward to seeing our members, we are always looking for volunteers too to participate with us, I specially love the face to face connection and get to know our community and rural residents. So, l do hope that you come out to support us, as we always look forward to engage with you all and help one another as well.

Boyle Balldiamonds - found diamond Ring


Boyle RCMP – Looking to return

Boyle, Alberta – On Friday, May 10 2019 an individual attended the Boyle RCMP Detachment to hand over a diamond ring that was found at the ball diamonds within the Village of Boyle.  It’s unknown how long the ring had been there prior to being handed over to Police.
At this time, the ring has not been claimed and Boyle RCMP are looking to return it to its rightful owner.

Mischief and Theft to Cemetery in Gibbons

RCMP Morinville Seek Public Assistance – Mischief and Theft to Cemetery in Gibbons
                                                                           
Gibbons, Alberta - On May 18th, 2019 suspect(s) entered the Anglican Cemetery located at 4607 50Th Ave in Gibbons, Alberta. An unknown subject or subjects smashed a number of solar powered lights that were located at or near grave sites. The subjects also removed a number of items that were placed around grave sites. The RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in developing leads in this case.

Morinville RCMP Seek Assistance in Locating Two Missing Youth

Morinville, Alberta - Morinville RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating Jamie Alook (16) and Emily Cutknife. Both were last seen May 14th, 12019 at approx 10:20 pm in a rural area west of Legal, Alberta.

Jamie is described as:
  • Indigenous
  • Black hair
  • brown eyes
  • 5'3" tall
  • 129 lbs
Emily is described as:
  • Indigenous
  • Black hair
  • brown eyes
  • 5'4" tall
  • 110 lbs
There is a concern for both girl's well-being. 

The RCMP would like to locate and speak with them as soon as possible. RCMP are asking the public's assistance for any information in relation to their whereabouts.

Morinville RCMP Investigate Arson of Tool Shed

Morinville RCMP Investigate Arson of Tool Shed at the Morinville Rendez-Vous Centre

Morinville, Alberta - On May 13th, 2019 at approximately 4:20 pm Morinville RCMP and Morinville Fire and Rescue attended to a tool shed fire at the Rendez-Vous Centre at 9913 104 street in Morinville. Once on scene it was determined that the fire was intentionally set.  A fire investigator also attended the scene. The suspect(s) had pushed a shopping cart full of newspapers and clothing against the back of the shed and lit the contents of shopping cart on fire causing damage to the shed.

Morinville RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in solving this crime. If anyone saw someone pushing a grocery cart near the railway tracks of 99 avenue or 104 street in Morinville during the time of this incident they are encouraged to contact the Morinville RCMP.

Damage to the shed is under $5000.00.

The RCMP and Fire Investigator continue to investigate.

Morinville RCMP Investigating Arson Incident

Morinville RCMP Investigating Arson Incident

Morinville, AB - Around 8:45 pm on May 4th, 2019 Morinville RCMP were alerted to a string of fires determined to be arson leading from the Morinville RCMP detachment area to the railroad tracks behind 101 avenue.  The suspect departed the scene on foot and ran east of 107 avenue in the open green space.  The RCMP is requesting members of the public  in the area to check their surveillance camera's and to advise police if they saw anything unusual that can assist with the investigation.

The RCMP are working with the local fire department and fire investigators on this crime.
