Break & Enter at Sturgeon Composite High School


Morinville RCMP are investigating a Break & Enter that happen at the Sturgeon Composite High School on March 25 2018.
There is video footage a female and a male can be observed  stealing from the school. They were driving a 4 door Silver Pontiac Grand Am. No License plate is visible. The car has silver rims, a black/rust spot on the rear passenger quarter panel and has what appears to be a picture with a white frame behind the seats of the rear window.

Morinville RCMP Arrest two males for Possession of Stolen Property

Morinville RCMP Arrest two males for Possession of Stolen Property
Morinville, Alberta – On the morning of March 27, 2018 at about 07:30AM Morinville RCMP received a complaint from a vigilant Sturgeon County resident that there were two unknown males sleeping in a vehicle on RR262 about 8 kilometers east of Alcomdale.
Morinville RCMP attended the area and located the two males asleep in a running blue Ford Focus.  The vehicle license plate was not a match and later confirmed as stolen. The two males were arrested and taken into police custody without incident.
Both males face a variety of charges including possession of stolen property, breach of conditions and traffic safety act charges.
The two males have been remanded in custody.

Shop Break and Enter Range road 234 and Hwy 28 Sturgeon County


On the evening of March 20, 2018 or morning of March 21, 2018 suspect(s) broken into a shop on a rural property near Range road 234 and Hwy 28 Sturgeon County.
Victim repots his shop was broken into, he thinks happened March 21 or overnight March 20th.  The man door was kicked open. nothing missing that he can see. no tools left behind, didn't see any footprints in the snow, but there are tire tracks. no weapons were in the shed. tractor, tools, drill press welders, hand tools, etc.
RCMP attended.  Neighbourhood inquiries were to other family members that farm the same property, Did not see anything during the day. No suspects thus far.

Rural Break and Enter Near Township road 555 and Range Road 242


On February, 27, 2018 a complainant called to report a break and enter to his residence near township road 555 and range road 242 in Sturgeon County.  The front door had been damaged and cabinets in house had been gone through. Various electronics and computers were stolen.  This happened in the middle of the day. No suspects were identified.

Theft from Sturgeon County residence

On March 17th, 2018, Morinville RCMP received a report of a theft at a residence situated at 57318 Range Road 241, in Sturgeon County. The property owner awoke in the morning and observed the enclosed trailer, belonging to a contractor working on the property, broken in to. No other buildings or property was touched. After inventorying the trailer, cordless hand tools and air tools were taken from the trailer, amongst other items.

Police believe the break in happened between 01:30 am and 08:00 am.

Stolen Truck with bulldogs inside

"Our truck  was stolen south of  Edmonton today with our dogs inside  and a  90 cam an in the box. Please share these  photos  in hopes of getting our bulldogs back. We are offering a $500.00 reward for the return of the dogs, no questions asked."
Please share with your communities and lets' get these dogs home and put smiles on the faces of two very sad  children
There have been reports of the truck  been driven erracticly  by Leduc and involved in a hit and run. It is reported to be headed south,  No description of the truck, the owners are more worried about the dogs than the truck....

The AGM Meeting Report





       Good Morning Everyone,


                  I would like to thank the members who attended the AGM Meeting, it was to see our you and to our New members as well. The NAIT News Team were unable to attendour AGM meeting, as they had a assignment which left them short and could not fullfil our meeting. So we will invite them again, also to Sgt. Ken Ghumman from the Sherriff Dept thank you, it was a very interesting on the information of what your duties and roles as a Sherriff and having a staff of 700 members, l was impressed to hear of such a large staff, we enjoyed your presentation and the questions that followed.

              I would also like to thank my Board members for excellent report of their year with me as we had a busy year 2017 and 2018 is going be be even better. It was a full house, Cpl Clint Gulash and his partner was able to make the meeting and give us an update of crime, news within the detachment and Pilot projects happening with RCMP.

Our next meeting will be held in Calahoo, April 10 at 7pm we are changing up on our meeting to connect with members, and residents, so we are coming to you and hope you will join us as well, share your concerns, ideas, or comments, we like to hear it all. SO if you are able to attend this meeting please let me as l will enjoy seeing everyone.

Break and Enter and theft in Sturgeon County

Good Morning,

On February 27th, 2018, Morinville RCMP received a report of a Break and Enter and theft to a residence situated at 56316 Range Road 264, in Sturgeon County. The victims arrived home, entered the garage and observed the man door to the residence open. The rear patio door to the residence was pryed open, indicating point of entry. The kitchen and master bedroom were ransacked, however other rooms appeared untouched. After inventorying the residence, a laptop, jewellery, hand tools and and a 0.22 cal rifle were taken from the residence amongst other items.

Police believe the break in happened between 11:00 am and 1:40 pm.

Suspicious person and vehicle

Good Morning,

On March 1st, 2018, Morinville RCMP received a report of a suspicious person and vehicle at a property situated at 57019 Range Road 241, in Sturgeon County. The complainant arrived at her property and observed a brown 2006 Chev Uplander AB l/p BYS1322 parked in her driveway. When confronted, a lone male stated he was there to cut a key for a customer. The male provided the phone number of the customer, but could not provide a name.

Contact with the registered owner of the vehicle and “customer” yielded a story that matched that of the suspicious person, but the “customer” had no corroborating explanation for being in the area.

Included are pictures of the vehicle and the suspicious person.

Alcohol theft in Bon Accord

During the evening, on February 16th 2018. A person stole a bottle of alcohol in the area of Bon Accord.  At this stage of the investigation, Police have not identified any suspects, attached is a surveillance image related to this crime.  Please contact Morinville RCMP if you have any information regarding the incident or the person in this photo.

Break and Enter at Sturgeon Valley home.

Between February 16th and 19th, 2018 an unknown party broke and entered into a half built home in the Sturgeon Valley area, the suspects rummaged through personal effects and did manage to take some items, none of high value but rather of sentimental.

Morinville RCMP are requesting the public's assistance with this incident. Photo's of the suspect vehicle are attached.
