Dog stolen Green Acres subdivision

On Friday, August 18th 2017 at about 9:30am, a resident at the Green Acres subdivision at 54513 Range Road 251 was alerted by her barking dogs to the presence of a truck driving onto the property. The resident approached the driver, described only as a dark coloured female with a male passenger. The female apologized for driving into the wrong residence before slowly driving away.

As soon as the truck left, the resident discovered one of her dogs missing from the yard. The dog had been wearing a shock collar and would not have otherwise left the property on its own.

The truck is described as a dishevelled mid-2000's white Dodge Ram, with several construction-like items in the truck bed. No license plate was obtained.

The dog goes by the name "Dozzer", and is a 5yr old male Rottweiler/American Bulldog cross, black & tan in colour, about 65lbs with short legs and primarily Rottweiler features. "Dozzer" was last seen wearing a Petsafe brand black shock collar, and a black dog collar & tag with "Dozzer" and a contact number engraved on it.

Morinville RCMP would like to speak to the driver of the white truck, locate the dog, or obtain any further information about this or any other incidents involving similar circumstances.

Stolen Trailer and Related Activity Morinville RCMP

Greetings,

At approximately, 5:00 AM on Tuesday, August 8th 2017, a dark grey Cargo Mate 20-ft utility trailer was stolen from a residence at the Bristol Oaks subdivision at 54315 Rge Rd 251 in Sturgeon County. The trailer had been secured and parked on the road in front of the house, but was not hitched to a vehicle. The trailer contained furniture and personal belongings belonging to one of the residents.

Although surveillance footage was obtained from a neighbouring home, it does not show the suspect(s). However, the involved vehicle appears to be a dark coloured pickup truck of unknown make or model.

Additionally, during this same night at the neighbouring subdivision of Fairway Blvd at 54321 Rge Rd 251, the same suspect(s) are believed to be responsible for entering an unlocked utility trailer and stealing various power tools and ATV helmets.

Morinville RCMP continue to investigate these thefts and are requesting assistance from residents in identifying the individuals responsible. Moreover, residents are reminded to ensure their vehicles are locked at all times, and to report any suspicious activity by calling 911 for emergencies, or Morinville detachment for non-urgent response at 780-939-4520.

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to let you know that there had been an ongoing issue with theft of Copper Wire from Cell Lightning Towers in our area.

These are the fenced enclosure in our area that have a tall tower which is actually a lightning rod in order to protect all our electronics.

Well people will cut the fence and go in and cut the Copper Wire directly from the Tower.

This will actually prevent the tower from functioning properly.

Having said that  there should not be people there in the evening after dark, good chance they are stealing the Copper Wire.

The location that was hit over the Long Weekend is on Range Road 234, North of Highway 28 at top of the hill.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,

RCMP Morinville Detachment
