Mail boxes located at 54220 Range Road 250 (North Point), were broken into on Saturday, January 9th, sometime during the evening.
There have been a few of these occurrences in the area with regards to mischief and theft from mailboxes.
It is important that the Citizens of the area understand they need to be pro active and take preventative measures.
- Check Mail daily;
- Stop delivery while on Holidays;
- Never allow family members to send cash, cheques, gift cards etc. by regular mail. Have them sent registered mail. Or do electronic money transfers;
- Always check you Credit Card activities, Do credit checks to see if anyone has made any applications in your name;
- Go paperless wherever possible;
- Have cheques done via direct deposit; and
- Always know what you are receiving and when it was sent to you.
