RCMP Morinville - Possession of Stolen Property/Mischief
On January 13th, 2016, at approximately 0730 AM,  Morinville RCMP received a call of a suspicious and intoxicated male walking in and around the Cardiff area.  The male wasn't from the area but had spoken with a passing motorist and told them he was trying to get to a friends house.
Later this same morning, police received another call regarding this intoxicated male in the same area.  This time, police located and arrested the male and subsequently found him in possession of several stolen items.  During the course of the investigation, it was determined the male went into 10 or more vehicles from the Cardiff area and was stealing items from within them.  Several pieces of property were seized however ownership of the items is unknown.  Some of the items stolen include but are not limited to vehicle registration papers, money, personal documents, and cell phones.  The adult male is being charged for possession of property obtained by crime however, his identification is not being released at this time.
Morinville RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in determining ownership of the seized items.  If you have any knowledge of this incident or are missing vehicle property, please contact the Morinville RCMP at 780-939-4550.
