Boyle RCMP Investigate Break and Enter/Theft at rural property

Boyle, Alberta - On December 21, 2017 around 9:00AM Boyle RCMP were notified of a Break and Enter that occurred at a rural property north of Caslan, Alberta. Suspect(s) were able to gain entry into multiple sheds and a trailer making away with various tools and equipment. The suspects were scared away by a concerned citizen and fled the scene in a silver Dodge Ram pick-up.

The one suspect was described as:
·         Aboriginal male
·         Slim build
·         Wearing a silver/grey sweat shirt

Boyle RCMP, in partnership with Boyle Rural Crime Watch and local Citizens on Patrol (COP) are working together to help reduce the amount of rural and seasonal break-ins. Property owners are encouraged to take steps on how to prevent themselves from being victimized by utilizing the use of: trail cameras, flood lighting, and always locking windows and doors before leaving.

“It’s important, that we use our community partners such as rural crime watch and citizens on patrol”, says Cst. Andrew Deme of the Boyle RCMP. “The volunteers are out there being pro-active to make the community they live in safer and are reporting suspicious activity to police.”
